Path-guided Robot Applications with the Open Planning and Process Software VMP

The Visual Motion Planner (VMP) software package enables You to generate robot programs for path-guided robot applications automatically and offline. VMP takes advantage of the fact that the actual robot-path today is usually available as a CAD model. The software therefore imports the path data directly from the CAD program – the processing parameters are already provided.

VMP is a software package implemented in C#, the core of which is based on the functions of the KUKA Sim robot simulation system (workspace analysis, collision check).
