In conjunction with "Henkel", AROTEC developed a guide for the conceptual design of robotic applications for packaging tasks

In order to be more flexible when it comes to packaging tasks, companies increasingly employ robots. In cooperation with the consumer goods manufacturer Henkel in Düsseldorf, AROTEC developed a guide to explain how robotic solutions can be designed, starting from requirements relating to product properties and output.

The basis of the document is formed by a technology collection for the robot, gripper, sensors, and conveying technology subsystems. Following the guide will produce optimal solutions for special applications. The instruction manual describes the applications of feeding unsorted and partially sorted products, pick-and-place operations, and palletizing. It also addresses order picking and the generation of mixed pallets. The guide is completed by an overview of application-related standards for automation.
